Let's get Oakland to where it should be! Let's rebuild our reputation and make this city a
world class destination, not a place people are afraid to stop.

The Oakland Arny Depot is being turned over to the City of Oakland. Let's develop it right!

Here is my Big Idea - partner with the Smithsonian Institution (SI) to create The
Smithsonian West. SI has enough (Art, history, science and other stuff) in their collection
to open several new museums. Create something for all of the people, Keep it free - like
the SI museums in Washington, D. C. Build parks and open spaces in to the area around
the SI complex. Make it accessible to West Oakland neighbors, as well as those coming
from all over California and the world. Connect it with the upcoming Bay Bridge Gateway
Park currently under development. Let's get started now and they can open up around the
same time!

All we have to do is get the city of Oakland to do what is in the best interests of its people!
